Kotobarabia is the largest eContent creator and distributor that specialize in the Arabic language.
Kotobarabia obtains the eRights to all its published content, and then converts the content into searchable eBook format. With 4,000 plus titles, Kotobarabia offers its unique Arabic content in a first-of-its-kind dynamic bi-lingual eLibrary application.
Kotobarabia contain 2 databases:
A number of electronic Arabic and non Arabic databases was added to the list of databases subscribed by Libraries administration in Kuwait university:
1. Engineering Village
2. JSTOR
3. Juris Classeur (French edition of LexixNexis)
4. LexisNexis
5. Institute of physics
In addition to two Arabic databases:
1. القاعدة العربية للمقاييس النفسية والفهرس النفسي التربوي
2. المعاهدات الدولية
Libraries administration provided the access to "Springer e-books" ; a database that provides over 10000 e-books in different fields.
"A-Z" is a search engine that enables users to search for electronic periodical titles through a simple way. Users can search by:
1. Ttile search
2. Browsing subjects
It lists all e-periodicals and the full text database(s) in which it is indexed. In addition, it clarifies whether it is available through "EBSCO open access journals" or "FreeFulltext.com" which are sources for free e-journals. Searchers may also use the cross-reference feature that is available in that search engine to search for periodical titles having the same subjects.
Starting from September 2008 faculty members, teaching assistants, graduate & undergraduate students and Kuwait university employees will be able to renew their circulated books electronically by following the steps on My Account page. In addition, users who have lost their library cards can make electronic clearance through circulation desk employees in libraries
In preparation for the start of the new academic year, new academic books and periodicals have been supplied to all the libraries. In addition to that, access is available to databases through the Kuwait University Library Administration website. These databases can be accessed on / off-campus by faculty and graduate students.
Books and periodicals can be searched via the online catalog available on the Kuwait University Library Administration website. For more research needs, you may visit the college library to benefit from information services provided.
Orientation tours will be organized at the beginning of each semester at college libraries for new students. Please contact the library for more information.
